How Being Creative Can Build Your List 1000
Times Faster
It's been said that one list member is worth $1 per month.
So if you have 5000 members on your list you can in theory
make $5,000 a month.
The problem is it can take months to a year to build up a
list that big. If you get 13.7 subscribers a day you'll
have 5,000 people on your list at the end of a year.
What do most people do to build their list? The general
teaching is to put your list subscribe form on every page
of your site and even in a popup. Still, you have to get a
lot of visitors to your website.
You can build your list the slow "garden hose way"
or build
it the "fire hydrant way". With the latter, you get
members
in chunks of hunreds or thousands instead of 15 or 50.
You can build your list much faster with joint ventures.
When doing joint ventures, your goal is to grab list
members from your joint venture partners.
If you contact 10 people with lists of 10,000 and you grab
10% from each list, you have 10,000 new members on your
list. Sounds almost too easy doesn't it?
It can be easy if people do it right. Most people don't do
it right now. What is the right way to do a joint venture?
Well first of all, you need to make your offer stand out
amongst the other offers. I don't have a list of 10,000
people but I'm sure if I did I wouldn't accept every joint
venture proposed to me.
Those people who have lists of 10,000 probably built it the
long and hard way instead of the fast way, so they really
cherish their list. They won't offer just any product to
their list.
That's why you need to make your offer really enticing.
Make it something that you would drool over if someone else
offered it to you.
What makes list owners drool? How about the chance to
profit big time. You've got to give them something that
will bring lots of money. That's not enough though.
Although some list owners will promote anything out of
greed, others will not. They need to offer something that
their list members will use and appreciate.
The product you create has to serve two purposes. It has to
make the owner lots of money and it has to make the list
members lots of money. Let's not forget that it has to make
you a lot of money. That's why you're doing it in the first
place right?
I will give you an example of a product that will benefit
yourself, your joint venture partners and thier list
members.
What you can offer is a an ebook that promotes high paying
two-tier affiliate programs. Offer a useful and informative
ebook that isn't just a link directory. Let people rebrand
the ebook with their affiliate links. They will promote the
ebook and you will earn commission because it's two tiers.
Create a minisite that serves to capture email addresses
and allow anyone who downloads the ebook to use the
minisite. This way, your joint venture partners can rebrand
the ebook, offer it to their list and allow their list
members to use the minisite to pass along the ebook.
How you benefit is that all these people are signing up as
your subaffiliates. You earn commission as your ebook is
passed around. You not only steal the list members from you
joint venture partner, if you have an optin form in your
ebook, you can get more list members because your ebook is
passed around.
Your joint venture partners are happy because they give
something valuable to their list and they can make money at
the same time. Triple win situation as I like to call it.
All three parties receive multiple benefits. This is smart
marketing and you should use it every time to minimize your
workload and maximize your gains.
